Columbia Pike Animal Hospital is one of Northern Virginia’s largest, privately-owned veterinary hospitals. With over 30 doctors on staff, interns will participate in an immersive mentorship rotating in general practice, urgent care/emergency, surgery and hospitalized in-patient care.
6 MONTH ROTATION

Wolf Trap Animal Rescue is one of the top animal rescue transport & adoption organizations in the country. This rotation will focus on developing individual surgical skills specialized in advanced spay/neuter techniques. Interns will become experts on infectious disease management within a foster-based program as well as gold-standard animal welfare transport & adoption protocols.
6 MONTH ROTATION
interns will perform over 600+ surgeries under direct mentorship from specialty trained hqhv surgeon, dr. amber burton.

learn practical experience working with new pet OWNERS & mastering preventative medicine.
learn how to manage hospitalized patients & gain invaluable er/urgent care experience while under direct mentorship from seasoned veterinarians.
extensive emergency experience.
