INNOVATIve savings

As an owner, you shouldn’t be worried about the cost of your bill if you need to go to the vet. You should come by, relax, and have fun knowing we’ve got you covered from your membership! If it’s something serious, we can send you to the top expert for your pet’s injury or illness. You can rest easy because you’ve already signed up for an outside insurance plan that will cover those hefty vet bills (Membership requirement).

Example: Your newly adopted kitten, Tommy, has started having issues going to the bathroom and is now straining to urinate.

SCENARIO 1: You rush to a regular veterinary office, who do an emergency exam, bloodwork, and urinalysis (exam of the urine) to get a baseline of what is wrong with Tommy ($700). The vet office suspects Tommy has a urine blockage and needs hospitalization and refers you to an internal specialist who repeats exam, bloodwork and urinalysis ($1,000) and determines he will need sedated, unblocked with a urinary catheter, hospitalized, and observed overnight ($4,000). To get Tommy fixed up, your total cost is $5,700!

SCENARIO 2: You schedule a virtual consult with your Veterinary Membership Team at Wolf Trap’s Veterinary Hospital, and Dr. Burton is concerned Tommy may be blocked and wants to see him right away. She suggests using the benefits from your #PamperedPaws Plan to evaluate his urine and kidney function with bloodwork and a urinalysis. You come in and evaluation supports a urinary blockage. Fortunately, there are excellent emergency & internal medicine specialists across the street, and your membership team calls and gets Tommy in right away. You go to the emergency internist to have Tommy unblocked and hospitalized, with a total cost of $5,000. Fortunately, you have insurance with 80% coverage, so you only have to pay $1,000 out of pocket. Your total cost was only $1,000 because you were able to use valuable benefits from your club membership, and it didn’t cost anything for the initial diagnosis and workup!
